PEMA Verpackung GmbH – Report

PEMA Verpackung GmbH is a company based in Syke, Germany, which has been located in the town’s industrial area for over 30 years. PEMA specializes in the trade of flexible packaging materials, including jute, raschel, paper and woven bags as well as film packaging. A particular focus is on the sale of BIG BAGS (large flexible bags), which are used in various industries.

PEMA has production facilities in Germany and abroad and currently employs around 40 people. We spoke to Mr. Christof Raake, Managing Director of PEMA GmbH, about his experiences with SelectLine.

VIEBROCK: Mr. Raake, we have now been working together for two decades, let’s take a look back: What was the initial situation and what were your original objectives when you became interested in SelectLine?

C. Raake: The ERP provider we were using has ceased operations, so we were looking for a program that would suit our company.

VIEBROCK: How did you proceed at that time?

C. Raake: We tried out various systems and found SelectLine to be a program that is tailored to our activities and products. The employees opted for the SelectLine merchandise management program because of its simple, fast and clear handling.

VIEBROCK: What specific improvements have you seen as a result of purchasing SelectLine?

C. Raake: SelectLine has simplified our processes and made them more transparent. We can work faster and more clearly, which saves us time and certainly also costs. Over the years, we have optimized our processes and work digitally in the warehouse, for example. We use the Viebrock warehouse app for this. The docuvita document management system stores documents automatically and in an audit-proof manner.

VIEBROCK: How do you rate the cooperation with VIEBROCK, is there anything you particularly appreciate about us?

C. Raake: We have found an honest and competent IT partner in Viebrock Datenservice. The team is always reliable, fair and friendly. I would particularly like to emphasize their availability. There is always someone available for me, which I unfortunately had to experience differently with previous companies.
